Frequently Asked Questions

  • Guest arrival begins at 3:45 PM, with the ceremony starting at 4:30 PM. We recommend arriving a bit early to get settled before the ceremony begins.

  • While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone the chance to relax, and enjoy the festivities with us.

  • We’re keeping our celebration quite intimate. If a plus one is included for you, it will be noted on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.

  • Welcome Party (Cocktail Chic):

Think relaxed and elegant for an evening out — dresses, for example, or a smoking jacket, and perhaps your trousers.

    The Wedding (Formal/Romantic Coastal):

We encourage colours, prints, and subtle textures to match the beautiful coastal setting of Estoril! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on gravel and grass, so we recommend comfortable footwear where possible.

Women may choose long or midi dresses — floral prints, solid tones, or subtle textures all work beautifully. Men are invited to wear suits.

  • Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors on grass and gravel. Dinner and dancing will continue both indoors and outside throughout the evening. We will have heel protectors for anyone who needs it.

  • October in Estoril is typically mild and sunshine-beautiful, with warm afternoons and cooler evenings by the water. Daytime temperatures are usually around 20–24°C (68–75°F), with evenings dipping to about 15–18°C (59–65°F). A light layer is always a good idea once the sun sets, but we hope you’ll stay toasty dancing the night away!

  • For our wedding, we’ve done our best to recommend hotels that are within walking distance, but cabs and Ubers in Portugal are very inexpensive should you need them. We do encourage them rather than renting your own vehicles for transport due to limited space for parking at the premises. For longer distance, Portugal has a comprehensive train network that travels throughout the whole country.
